Your Wedding!
Your Wedding Day is one of the most important days of your life. It sets the tone and stage for the kind of marriage you’ll have for years to come. That’s why it’s so important to make it great. Make it real and make it reflect what you and your spouse value most and are passionate about.
Celebrants officiate at personalized civil-secular, nondenominational, religious, spiritual and multicultural wedding ceremonies. I will help you create a ceremony that reflects the beliefs beliefs and traditions you find important.
I’m here to serve as your guide and facilitator in the process of creating a wedding ceremony which will include elements that are most meaningful to you: Your unique personal love story, music you love, colors and symbols that have meaning for you, vows, readings and unique rituals that reflect your cultural, religious and/or spiritual heritage.
A few questions to think about: What do you and your fiance value that you want your wedding ceremony to reflect? What do you want your guests to know about you? What do you want them to experience? What do YOU most want to experience on this day?
The Process:
~ Intitial phone conversation: Give me a call and tell me what your vision is for your wedding. If you’re not 100% clear or even have no idea, no problem! This is where I can easily help you. At this time I can also quote you a fee or fee range.
~Meeting: I prefer to meet with any local couples face to face for 60-90 minutes. This way you can get a feel for me and how I work and I can become better acquainted with you. I’ll ask your a bunch of questions and show you some samples of elements from previous weddings. At this point we can decide to work together or you can think it over. If you don’t live locally, no problem! We can talk by phone or over Skype.
~Agreement: Once we decide it’s a good fit to have me officiate at your wedding, I’ll email you a questionnaire for you and your fiance to fill out and email back to me. This will help me create your wedding outline, including your personal love story.
~Wedding outline draft review: I’ll put together a complete wedding outline, complete with suggestions for music, readings, unity rituals, symbolism, vows, etc., all based on what you told me you wanted when we met, and on your responses on the questionnaire. You can change, edit, delete anything you wish.
~Wedding outline final review: I’ll edit the wedding outline until you approve every word and love it.
~Rehearsal: If you choose to have a rehearsal I’ll be there to go through a run-through for your Wedding Day.
~Wedding Day: I’ll arrive 30-45 minutes in advance of your wedding so we can take care of any necessary paperwork, including signing of your marriage license. If your wedding warrants it, I’ll have music cue sheet printed for the musicians/D.J.
~Keepsake Ceremony Gift: 1-2 weeks after your wedding I’ll mail you your “keepsake ceremony”, which will be your wedding ceremony printed on heavy paper in a pretty folder or binder.
